I guess we just have a different take on Galatians 5:6. If we would walk perfectly and consistently in the Spirit, then yeah, we wouldn’t cave into the temptations of the flesh. I see it as a cause-and-effect type command. “If you walk in the Spirit, then you won’t fulfill the lusts of the flesh.” While the effect of walking in the Spirit is guaranteed, there’s no guarantee that a Christian will perfectly and consistently walk in the Spirit. We’re called to constantly strive for this, but again, I just don’t think that we achieve the goal in this life. Due to our limitations, not God’s.
