Re: A. Z. Tozer on Worship
I really like Tozer. One of my favorites is his book called Knowledge of the Holy. He has some great insights into the Godhead and the holiness of God. Something you have to watch out for though is his own opinions when it comes to culture. He shares an experience on a plane where he notices a young hippie (or what he called a hippie). You would think that by Tozer’s standards that poor kid was doomed to hell because he had long hair and such. When it came to culture or the next generation I found Tozer out of touch with what God’s heart was. I think about that too. If I grow to be a white haired old man will I still see the possibilities for God to use the next generation or a different culture than I’m accustomed to or will I write them off as having missed their destiny in God? I pray for the former not the latter.
