I agree with the quote as it stands. Anything that is more about culture, ourselves, dancing, singing, feeling good, etc. than it is about Christ can never be worship. You cannot worship something/someone that you place something else ahead of. If you do so, you’re actually worshiping the “something else”.
However, Josiah’s right about the rabbit hole. Just because something reflects the culture in which it was created, it isn’t robbed of its capability to be used for worship. The words “more than” are key to the validity of the quote.
