For me as well! It’s important to realize that some things we do for no other reason than because it’s TRADITIONALLY EXPECTED. As some here would say, that’s just RELIGIOSITY.
As Nickel and Dima have aptly put it, though, the question of membership is not strictly in existence because of traditionalism or religious hype. It’s important from a legal, modern and social standpoint… and i say that OUTSIDE of the realms of Christianity. Essentially… it’s how to be a Christian within the confines of a modern society. Because let’s face it… we live in a real world with laws and conditions. We have to be subject to them. The only way to PROTECT our beliefs is to use the world’s laws to our advantage… thus, membership becomes relevant and important… but not a requirement of salvation or a prerequisite to ‘more blessings’ or higher status.
very healthy discussion…thank you, men!
