Yeah, Traktor is more for that. Something that might be helpful as a sticky is to put together lists of free software like reaper and mustudio that people can use to put together tracks, in addition to vst instruments.

For any beginner, though I’d suggest starting at the bottom and make a list of 100 tracks and start to learn those inside and out. This helps both djing and production knowledge. I think that this tread is bound to be helpful, as I’m sure lots of people would like to start, but just don’t know where to begin.
