Re: False Religion
A few questions… is this a vision of Hell or some other place? If it is Hell it seems as if there is some funny thing about this. One it seems as if the people in Hell really know they are doomed. The rich man seemed to know he was dead. If he did not why would he ask Abraham to send Lazarus to his house? Then Abraham mentioned “If they will not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if one from the dead should rise.” But concerning there being no conversation in Hell, how could the rich man and Abraham talk if there is no conversation in Hell? Anyway it is good to test the spirits as it says in the epistle of John.
Just some food for thought guys.
Luke 16:23 And being in torments in hell, lifting up his eyes, he sees Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16:24 And calling he said, Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering in this flame.
Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Child, remember that you fully received your good things in your lifetime, and Lazarus likewise the bad things. But now he is comforted, and you are suffering.
Luke 16:27 And he said, Then I beg you, father, that you send him to my father’s house;
Luke 16:28 (for I have five brothers, so that he may witness to them, that they not also come to this place of torment).
Luke 16:29 Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the Prophets, let them hear them.
Luke 16:30 But he said, No, father Abraham, but if one should go from the dead to them, they will repent.
Luke 16:31 And he said to him, If they will not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if one from the dead should rise.
