Re: Is there Three Persons In One?
Personally I think that the term Godhead works great for presenting the idea of God consisting in three personalities. For example the term resurrection of the dead could be used instead of rapture, which is not in the Bible.
Think about this though: God manifests Himself in MANY different forms.
We all know the three main ones
But have you all forgotten about the others?
Cloud by day
Pillar of fire by night
Why doesn’t the “trinity” belive in those as being part of the “trinity god”?
The bush, dove, etc are all manifestations not personalities, so that would be why these are not included.
One day I was shown doctrin of the one and only God, made up of nothing more than himself, not three; and my life has turned a full 180 degrees!
Just because you claim this, it does not prove your doctrine to be correct. I could find people who would say what you said but about the trinity.
Here is one for you that is sort of related to our topic….
How a about the Seven Spirits of God?
Rev 1:4 John to the seven assemblies in Asia: Grace to you, and peace, from the One who is, and who was, and who is coming, and from the seven spirits which are before His throne;
Rev 4:5 And out of the throne come forth lightnings and thunders and voices. And seven lamps of fire are burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders said to me, Do not weep. Behold, the Lion being of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, overcame so as to open the scroll, and to loose its seven seals.
Rev 5:6 And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, was a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, having been sent out into all the earth.
Besides the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, I believe that there is also a seven folded aspect to God.
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.
Isa 11:3 And He is made to breathe in the fear of Jehovah. But He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.
1. Spirit of Jehovah
2. Spirit of wisdom
3. and understanding
4. Spirit of counsel
5. and power
6. Spirit of knowledge
7. and of the Fear of Jehovah.
