What do you guys think about DJing a club, or rave event? Since most are filled with drinking and drugs. I am sure a lot of you do, it’s probably man of your jobs.

But what is your take on it? What do you say to people who think that you shouldn’t be involved in that whole scene?

I love Electronic Dance Music, but I hate the scene that comes with it. I recently went to Ultra Music Festival in Miami. I had the time of my life, but so many people were on drugs and I just felt like I really didn’t belong there.

But I am now getting big into mixing as I got some pretty sweet equipment recently, and I would like to start mixing for small club or rave events.

Anyways, what do you all have to say?

It’s a matter of creating our own scene.

Seek God’s will and godly counsel on this. Have you had issues when being a part of this scene in the past? Drugs, sex, etc.? You need to find out what you are called to. Talk to as many different people who are christians doing DJ/producer ministry.

By all means start honing your craft. Practice as often as possible. Read articles. Keep up on trends in the music scene.

Once you feel confident about the direction you are supposed to go, make sure you have some people you are accountable to in your walk with Jesus.

Lastly. Have a blast on the adventure of Faith! ;)

Nope been a Christian my whole life, became serious about Jesus in high school luckily before I fell down the wrong path.

I just really like EDM, but just not too big into the secular rave scene.

and Unfortunately I do not know any Christians who like Electronic Dance music, let alone any who mix or produce! I mean I know some who “like” it but, not really like in the sense that most of us like. (get what I am saying? Like they will listen to it and they like it, but they don’t listen to it really in there free time, don’t know any DJ’s etc.)

anyways, yeah Ill def keep praying about it, thanks fella’s!

I usually go to Raves/Shows and intercede for the people. I pray for the spiritual realm to flip upside down. Someone has to do it, might as well be me.

I don’t see a problem with going to raves as long as this is happening, or if you’re not engaging in sinful activity. However, some people shouldn’t go… Those that have come out of the scene and will struggle if they go back to it are definitely different from people like me.

    Hope this helps :)

You should listen to my radio show the second Friday of May. I’m implementing a new theme where I pick a top 100 DJ and I intercede for them throughout the episode. There’s plenty of Christian trance on there as well as clean secular trance. Where are you from bro?
