I remember listening to an electronic group with my dad called Equinox way back in the ’80s, before it was labeled Trance (are they no longer around? You know how many groups since are named Equinox?!).

Through many a web search, I found you all! My love for electronic music has been rekindled–I even bought a Kurzweil PC3!

It’s an awesome synth…;) It was a toss between it and Korg M3. I fell in love with the Kurzweil PC3 sound…

The learning curve is quite steep, but what I’ve learned so far is already worth it! Is there a synth thread?

Welcome!! Have you heard of Jean Michel Jarre? Produced over two decades of electronic music and has always been one of my inspirations. Anyway enjoy and spk soon! – crusader.

Yes, that is he! I can’t believe it that you knew! We used to listen to Jean Michel Jarre’s Equinox album. I didn’t know it was all the way back in 1978!

I love the Equinox album.. Much better, though not as famous, than his Oxygene material. Have you ever seen his live setup? The lasers!

If you are into that scene, I suggest Vangelis’ “Opera Sauvage”.. Think John Carpenter horror movie soundtracks mixed with ambient. LOTS of Yamah CS-80:
