Define the Kingdom of God in ONE paragraph. Metaphorically, Realistically, or Ideally.
The reason I am asking you to do this is because I don’t really understand the biblical logic of what the Kingdom of God is.. I see it it as an “Olive Tree” but I could be wrong..November 17, 2010 at 12:27 am #36081
The kingdom of God isn’t something any human can understand until we get there. There is this passage in Revelation that describes it probably the best.
And there shall no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His bond-servants shall serve Him; and they shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. And there shall no longer be any night; and they shall not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall illumine them; and they shall reign forever and ever.
Basically, the kingdom of God is the perfect place.November 17, 2010 at 12:37 am #36082
OK so what dose it mean when it says no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again?? Am I missing something I HAVE been born again.. what SHOULD I see??November 17, 2010 at 1:17 am #36083
You arent missing anything, the kingdom of God is heaven. Thats referring to when one dies – someone who hasnt accepted Jesus as their savior will not see heaven, only those who have will.November 17, 2010 at 1:30 am #36084
I think of the kingdom of heaven at first when I think about this. Which is invariably the heaven we will be in when we die, or when Christ comes to take those who believe in him. The kingdom of God can also be the world around us. Although the world has been corrupted by human nature, there is still much beauty in it, even though it’s no where near the magnitude of what it once was before the fall of man. He takes care of those who seek him, and truly want to need him. Through the shed blood of Jesus we have power over the physical realm, not in a physical sense always, but when we are in his full will, abiding in him, whatever we ask or think or more like truly need will be provided. We have to firmly acknowledge though, HE has the final say of what goes down. The earth is a foreshadowing of the kingdom of God, or rather part of it that shows his amazing handiwork. All his creation is His kingdom. Thats the way I see it.February 12, 2011 at 8:19 am #36085
I picture waking up (which is not exactly correct to say because there is not time or sleeping, but you catch my drift) and it being like a non stop Christian Electronic Dance Music Festival of singing dancing, and loving God.
That works for meFebruary 15, 2011 at 12:46 pm #36086
I like your thoughts Czechos (MPH). If you look at humanity, it still has the capacity to do good. This is because humanity still carries the framework of our creator. It is almost like humanity is the tin man from the wizard of Oz. We need a heart transplant. God’s creation is still good, still crying out for the Sons of God to be revealed. Our Father gave us dominion over the Earth. The Earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it. I think the Kingdom is both spiritual and natural. The battle starts in the spiritual realm but it is manifested in the natural realm. I can pray all day long for people to experience the love of God but if I truly want to extend His Kingdom I have to put feet on those prayers and share His love with those I meet.
