now…im not saying i consider this guy an enemy but according to his blog…thats the way he feels about us. now granted i only took enough time to read about 2 pages of this crap but you get the idea within the first few paragraphs.

    http://truthspeaker.wordpress.com/2008/08/10/shamanistic-drum-beats-and-trance-dancing-christian-beware/

and in another article he write about the International House of Prayer being a New Age movement.

this guy needs a slap up-side the head.

I think its a she, that is the person that responded to nate is the one who wrote it.

yeah, I agree, there’s always someone with that mindset.

Frankly I don’t care anymore, they’re more stubborn than I am and only God can change their heart, so really all we can do is pray.

Let them jack their jaw all they want. Drums were used in the Bible. Rock and Trance music specially two I listen to, I can never recall ever being in some state of mind EVER so that argument is a wash. Music side of things, figure most christians think I’m going to hell for what I listen to, whether it be christians playing rock music or trance or dnb or whatever, so I got over it and listen to what I want. Long as it doesn’t go against what Bible teaches or I’m not convicted about it.

One person in that article mentioned the prince of the earth is hard at work cause his days are numbered. I wholeheartedly agree with it, but I think its been more to bring division in the Church and Christians is what has been revealed to me.

i agree that ive been listening to trance an awefully long time and ive NEVER EVER been “in another state of mind” when i was listening to it. yes ive been energized, motivated, excited, happy, thrilled when i am listening to it… and thats whi i like it, because nnoooo not the feeling, but because its ^$&%ing good music! the musical angle of it solely is epic and genious, not just anyone an make musically fantastic tracks like those found in the trance genre, even dnb, breaks etc… its all its own unique music. it all has extreme tallent. and i know for a fact that the people here make their music with christ at the forefront of their mind, so… basically… shes wrong in a nut shell

“The hypnotic sounds and movements elevate dancers into ecstatic, altered states of consciousness”

I have to agree with a lot of the article guys, I have found myself being/going int states where I can dance forever, i am not thinking except about when the next beat is going to hit and my next step is going. although i am not completely fearful of this, i look back and i am not in complete control.
it has been the music that has taken control.

oh gosh. its such a rush.

    but
    really.
can this be a good thing?

I love to be led though, into the state of worship where my focus is not the music itself, not my feet or my body, but on Jesus.

and that has happened, and THAT, friends is another experience altogether.

    :?: :?:

That article is such garbage.. This type of ‘christian’ conspiracy theory is the worst. It truly does make a mockery of what is the definition of worship and I whole-heartedly agree that it make people turn away from their beliefs. God help them.

Where did this woman dig up these youtube videos? I am just stunned. All of the attempts to reference studies and terminology are a guise for legitimacy. Just complete garbage. I’m not going to post any comments because this sort of stuff makes me really mad.
