Big ups to the DJ’s! Czechos, Science Drop, and Dave Richards. I was impressed by how you carried yoursleves. I wish we would have had more time to hang out.
We had 123 people in attendance. The age range was from child to adult with teenagers being the largest group. Most of these, with the exception of those who know me really well, were first timers as far as EDM goes. The Alley (venue) is a church but really keeps its focus on people who aren’t comfortable going to a traditional church. They really dug this event. I heard nothing but good responses about the event. The biggest one was,”when are you going to do this again?”
At the end I spoke a few words of encouragement and had the DJ’s and the graffiti artist come up to pray with people. Dave led a kid to the Lord! We had many come forward for prayer. It was great seeing guys from Tastyfresh and God’s DJ’s praying together with people.
I had one of my sponsors tell me that when I do another one, they want to be a sponsor again! And two youth ministers from different communities said they wanted to have an event like KICKSTART in their city. One guy slapped a $100 bill in my hand and told me to put that towards my next event.
So in conclusion, I thank God for making this event a success and all of the people who helped me make it possible. We raised almost $200 for Anchor House. A family crisis shelter/food pantry. We also received a couple boxes of canned goods to give them. I’ll get some pics and maybe some video up soon.
