June 21, 2009 at 5:22 am #21018
here is another one fresh from the oven Phillips, Craig & Dean – Revelation Song ziggybeats remix.
Personally I think this is my best mix and trance track I have done to date.
I hope you agree, enjoy
the more you do it the better you get at it… learning by experience
check it out on myspaceJune 21, 2009 at 12:52 pm #29232
awesome job as usual man!
one thing i noticed though… it seems that during the “holy holy holy part” there seems to be a rogue drum or snare that comes in for like one measure and to me it sounds kinda out of place…dont know if its just me.
other than that the track is amazing!
ill be expecting a mp3 in my inbox (-:June 21, 2009 at 2:29 pm #29233
The original is a lovely song. Your remix is wonderful! Like Rodimus says, “as usual”!
Will somebody please sign this guy!
Thank You!June 21, 2009 at 2:36 pm #29234
I’m a big fan of your work Ziggy. Keep it up!June 21, 2009 at 8:51 pm #29235
Great song! I also will be expecting an mp3 in my inbox. I want to play it on my radio station.June 22, 2009 at 2:03 pm #29236
Ziigy is doing it! Yeah, that snare sounds akward on the hook.June 22, 2009 at 2:21 pm #29237
zig, you may also maybe consider cutting one or two of the measures off the end…where hes singing….”adore you…” seems like it runs for a long time. it doesnt sound bad just a bit long in my opinion…June 22, 2009 at 3:14 pm #29238
there are some things I need to tweek. In regards
The snare on the holy part there is nothing I can do, it’s part of the sample.
Just follow the kick LOL
I’m planning to add Gtr solo so I’m cool with it being that long at the end.
Just need to take out the adore part and add the Gtr solo for 16 or 8 can’t remember right now.
Anyway thanks for the feedback, it’s alway good to have guys like ya

The snare anomaly is one of those ‘artifacts’ you get when you try to rip samples from original tracks to remix in new tracks. I had the same problem with most of the stuff I just remixed in my Christian Hits package. (especially the Newsboys remix)
One thing you can try, Zigster, is to locate that transient attack in a wave editor and minimize it.. or what I found to be ‘acceptably successful’ was to put sidechain compression on it and ‘duck’ the transient out. Essentially, you create a pattern with a similar sounding snare sample and use that in your side chain compressor to “cancel out” the offensive snare sample in your rip.
Great job though…never heard the original, but this is 133t! I like the Francesca remix better though!June 22, 2009 at 9:18 pm #29240
Thanks DA for the info I’m going to try that, I think Rod your right I might need some twweeking
On the end part. Just heard on my iPod and it’s to long
You guys are great

you might need to do a radio edit of about 5 minutes.June 23, 2009 at 12:46 am #29242
I was so exited to hear this track that di not even notice any snare out of the grid,
Ziggy you are the best worship trance producer I know, great job man.

yeah, like AL, I was excited to hear this, I use to play it when I was in band at my last church. Second time I heard the snare, but like Digital Aura said, might could work on it and cut it out.
GREAT job zig, you tha man.June 23, 2009 at 12:52 pm #29244
