Up until now I’ve used Windows and Linux .. but the other night after a month of research on which new laptop I was gonna buy I ended up getting a new macbook pro 13 inch .. so my next question is .. any good suggestions for sampling and dj software thats not insanely expensive?

For Mac, try out Garageband or Ableton Live Lite

    Hi,
I would say the same as above the Loops in Garage Band are great way to start your project, and welcome to the family.

When you own Ableton Live, you have access to both windows and mac installers. No need for 3rd party run time environment to make either work.

Is there any other choice? Jk…
    I too have a 13″ MacBook Pro!
For my birthday, I bought Logic Pro. Currently, it’s $200 in the App Store, and so far, I’m very impressed. But to take full advantage of everything, as with a lot of software, there’s a learning curve.
Are you interested in more info, perhaps a review?
