It is funny how im unhappy because my job expects so much from me, but i should really feel blessed to have a job in this economically hard time. Regardless of that fact I still am asking for prayer, the job has recently become increasingly demanding of me since I started trying to make music for God, as well as help lead a faith based recovery program…. I know I have bills to pay, and I do enjoy having money to buy food and such, but I feel like I am shortchanging God. I believe that God will always take care of my needs, but I have been waiting for an answer as to weather or not he wants me to quit this job, find a new job or what? I am just trying to be an empty vessel for his spirit, So if u read this please remeber me the next time you meet with God in Prayer……………….Peace and Love to all of my Brothers and Sisters in ChristNovember 5, 2009 at 3:05 pm #31227
Definately will keep you in prayer! Remember…..Faithful with little…..
We need to be good stewards with what God has given us. Im not saying Quit or Keep your job but be aware of what God is asking you to do. Also be aware of the things God has given you so as to be able to do the things he is asking of you.November 5, 2009 at 6:53 pm #31228

where do you work by the way?November 6, 2009 at 4:38 am #31230
I started as a part time cook @ Ruby Tuesdays, when I started college. A couple years in I was financially unable to continue school, so I went to full time. In Jan i will have been there 4 years, they have since come to rely on me quite heavily….. I get to help train new employees, work dish, garden bar, prep, Grill, Pantry, I unload truck twice a week, have written the back of the house schedule (but hope I dont have to any time soon again), as well as do inventory checklists. Our brand new menu rollout that has over 40 brand new Items to learn, the most recent stressor they have managed to put in my lap was doing the truck order………alot of management junk without the title or benefits…..I cant complain about the $ too much im doing better then many in my area, I just get a depressing feeling when I think That I just want to ????? do more for God. Im thinking about going back to college, I have heard that there might be a 2 yr theological degree, perhaps some of my credits might transfer, and if not I still think taking the classes could only benefit my ministryNovember 6, 2009 at 4:45 am #31231
I know the feeling man. I’m currently at my job that I’ve been at for a really long time. I worked here for 7 years, was unfortunately fired and re-hired last August. First time I had been there so long more and more duties were dropped in my lap. Least this time around its not as stressful but still lot of to look after.
First time around, for about 2 yrs, I was in charge of feed inventory and had 10-15 ton orders a week. Gets hectic when trying to figure what you will sell. Course having to look over other employees and training them too. ugh.
But thought its nowhere near what I’m trained and can’t even make enough to live on my own, thank God I have a job.November 6, 2009 at 5:16 am #31232

I’ve been at my job for I believe coming on 6 years Superbowl weekend 2010. I’m also in college and can’t wait to go back to work full time so I can take a break lol! Working full time is a whole lot easier than college, at least spiritually speaking.November 7, 2009 at 10:47 pm #31235

i recommend u to keep on praying and win the battle on ur knees. learned that sometime ago when going to make a similar decision of going on my own then ended up staying and got laid off but thank God I had benefits for three months and some other hel[p like unemployment and ARRA. Just got a job after 5 months and am very thankful cuz it is exactly what i was looking for and seems that there is going to be less hours invested than otehr jobs. Keep ur head up… He will show u the way. God Bless!
