I dont think theres much wrong with Windows 7 compared to vista. Vista just really didn’t do what they made it for. Windows 7 on the other hand is a much more stable and reliable OS to work on. As IT’er I’ve been testing it ofcourse ;) Im still going to say linux above all, but Windows 7 is deffinitly worth it. On the other hand… im going to stick with linux and xp :) I like the oldschool things better.

i have the RC1 version and been happy with it so far. Much better than Vista and seeming stable as XP. I’m about to swap it over to my main machine and start using it regularly.

Answer me this…. do you really need the Ultimate version?

Other than the extra stuff like BitLocker (I highly recommend NOT using it, because it will crash on you and lock you out indefinitely), you do know that Windows 7 now comes with both 32 and 64 bit versions of its OS?

unless its changed, I want Ultimate for Windows Media Center, cause I can link my xbox 360 with it then.

    yep, just about right.

well after being around Mac’s bout 2 yrs, and been setting up this Win7 install, I noticed they borrowed ideas from Apple. Windows Explorer has similar layout as Finder on Mac and the taskbar has some features like the Dock on a Mac.

Going from XP to Win7 feels like driving a Caddy, lol. Glad I never messed with Vista.

You can do that with XP/Vista/Win7… it’s Media Player you’re concerned about, which will work on any of the above OS’s. I actually had that done off of my friend’s XBOX 360 yesterday with XP on my laptop… with all my Drum N Bass musics. :D

well I’m already running win7 ultimate RC1. I might get an XP Media Center for this other machine that will eventually make it back to my room.

I’ve loving Windows 7, hadn’t had any problems. I now just got to buy it since i’ve been using the RC version and its expired now. So i’ll be on the mac more til i can purchase it.
